Indigenous from America unite at WSF

Here is the report from the North American Indigenous delegation to the WSF in Caracas, from the publication Indian Country. We actually met the guy who sits second from the left on the picture briefly one late night in the Hilton Hotel lobby (the only place with wireless internet). It sounds like a great exchange of experiences and ideas took place, with representatives from Bolivia, Venezuela, Brazil, Canada, Alaska, and Seattle.

The UK government is running a secretive unit inside Michael Gove’s Cabinet Office that’s accused of ‘blacklisting’ journalists and hiding ‘sensitive’ information from the public. Experts say they’re breaking the law – and it’s an assault on our right to know what our government is doing.
