Jon Bright (London, OK): So it was the key marginals that prevented November from being exciting (for those of us who are excited about elections). Or was it? You might have read Jackie Ashley putting a vaguely positive gloss on events in the Guardian today - if you made it all the way to the end you'd have noticed that she casually drops in the fact that Rupert Murdoch was at Chequers during the key weekend. How much influence did he have on Brown's thinking? The Sun's EU referendum petition must have come up, as Ashley says. For all the many hundreds of polls conducted, a swing in Murdoch's opinion must be at least as important as a swing in the public at large. Who runs this country again?
