Anthony Barnett (London, OK): A new campaign called Muslims United has been launched in response to the terrorist outrages in London and Glasgow, taking out full page adverts in the press. This is how they describe themselves:
"The people involved in the Muslims United Campaign are all volunteers who share a vision of a diverse, all inclusive and strong Britain. They come from backgrounds in Medicine, Education, Civil Service, Consulting, Entrepreneurship and the Voluntary Sector. Some are housewives who have direct experience of Islamophobia and felt the need to make a change. What is common amongst the ever growing number of volunteers is that no one should be allowed to associate the acts of criminals with the peaceful message of Islam. If you would like to work with us irrespective of your faith (or no faith) please get in touch. Let's make Britain stronger together."
