Ankur Betageri is a poet, short fiction writer and visual artist based in New Delhi, India. His published works include ‘the bliss and madness of being human (poem 2013) and ‘bhog and other stories’ (short fiction 2010). He is presently a Doctoral candidate working on the philosophy of Gilles Deleuze at IIT-Delhi.

Why I decided to reject Hinduism

Only one aspect of Hinduism is common for all the different variants: the varna hierarchy. This is my personal account of why I rejected this discriminatory religion.
