Anna Bianca Roach is a freelance journalist with a focus on the intersection of gender, labour, and migration. She is based between Toronto, Canada; Redwood City, California; and Yerevan, Armenia. After finishing a degree in conflict studies at the University of Toronto, she moved to Armenia for a year, where she reported on the 2018 Velvet Revolution and its immediate aftermath.
