Brahim Dahane is the president of the Saharawi Association of Victims of Grave Human Rights Violations in Western Sahara. He was detained by the Moroccan authorities from 1987-91, 2005-2006 and 2009-2011.
At dawn on July 19th, after hours of deliberation, the verdicts were finally delivered in the contentious retrial in Morocco related to the violence in the Gdeim Izik protests of 2010.
