Dalia Chabarek, is a sociologist with a Masters degree in Urban Development Planning from The Bartlett | Development Planning Unit at UCL. Currently she is working as research consultant with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA).

Memories of war in the divided city

The dilapidated buildings which dot downtown Beirut are constant reminders of what existed before, what was destroyed during, and what has occurred since the civil war which violently divided the city.
