Dicta Asiimwe is a freelance journalist based in Uganda, whose byline has appeared in several publications including The Independent Magazine, The EastAfrican Newspaper and Daily Monitor, where she briefly edited the weekend magazines. Awards have been from reporting infrastructure, politics, education, health and disaster risk reduction.
