Dion van den Berg

Dion van den Berg (1960) started working for the Dutch Interchurch Peace Council (IKV) in 1980. Throughout the eighties he participated in the campaigns against the nuclear weapons. That same decade, he was actively involved in the ‘détente from below’ actions. Currently, he is head of the Europe team of PAX (the merger of IKV and Pax Christi Netherlands).

Did we learn from this that it is necessary to support and encourage citizens who fight for democracy and human rights, to promote their access to the negotiating table? No.
