Greg Bankoff

Greg Bankoff is a non-western historian with interests in the role of disasters in human societies, resilience, resource and risk management, the environmental consequences of modern conflict, and the development of colonial science. Professor of Environmental History at the University of Hull, he is the co- editor/author of Flammable Cites: Urban Conflagration and the Making of the Contemporary World (2012).
