Haytham Manna

Dr. Haytham Manna is head of the Syrian National Coordination Body for Democratic Change in exile. An academic and human rights activist, Manna co-founded the Arab Commission for Human Rights in 1998. He acted as the commission's spokesperson until September 2011.

Violence and democracy in Syria

Is it possible in such a situation to face the threat of foreign intervention and yet make internal democratic change with the peaceful civil movement which started from Dara’a? I repeat, and say for the umpteenth time, yes, and yes.
