Hyshyama Hamin is a Gender Consultant and Independent Researcher. She is the co-author of 'Unequal Citizens: Muslim women's struggle for justice and equality in Sri Lanka. She is also associated with the Muslim Personal Law Reforms Action Group - a lobby group of activists, lawyers and researchers working towards reforming the Muslim Marriage and Divorce Act (MMDA).
