Jerome Braun was a consultant to the 2008 Barack Obama presidential campaign as a member of their Labor, Employment, and Workplace Policy Committee. He is the co-editor of Alienation and the Carnivalization of Society (Routledge, 2011) which is now out in paperback, and author of Democratic Culture and Moral Character: A Study in Culture and Personality (Springer, 2013).
