Jonathan Lanz

Jonathan Lanz is a doctoral student in History and Jewish Studies at Indiana University Bloomington. His research centres on the history of the Holocaust and the numerous intersections between Jewish and European History in the twentieth century. Jonathan is especially interested in the experiences of children living under Nazi control and how examining the destruction of European Jewry through the eyes of children and adolescents can nuance our understanding of the Holocaust in Central Europe. His current project is a children’s history of the Auschwitz-Birkenau complex.
