Juan José Ibarretxe

Juan José Ibarretxe PhD was the President of the Basque Country from 1999 to 2009. Previously he had been Vice-President of the Government, President of the Araba Region and Mayor of his home town. President Ibarretxe currently chairs The Agirre Center for Social and Political Studies, a collaborative project between the University of the Basque Country and Columbia University.
