Mehrunisa Qayyum

Mehrunisa Qayyum is a writer and consultant on issues of development and political economy. She has degrees from Chicago and Georgetown Universities, and worked at the United States’s Government Accountability Office for four years.  She is the author of a policy brief on the Syrian diaspora for the Middle East Institute and  has written for Islamic Horizons. She runs a blog, PitaPolicy, focusing on the political economy of the middle east and north African region
