Olivier Acuña Barba

Olivier Acuña is a veteran Mexican journalist who has covered corruption, politics and organised crime in México for more than two decades. Due to his work, he was kidnapped, tortured and falsely accused of a crime, for which he served a 28-month prison sentence. In 2008, he was cleared of all the charges and released, but due to ongoing fears for his safety and that of his family, he was forced into exile. He is currently living in the United Kingdom.
