Rhacel Salazar Parreñas is a Professor of Sociology at the University of Southern California. She is currently in residence at the Center for Advanced Study in the Behavioral Sciences. She is the author of the forthcoming book Illicit Flirtations: Labor, Migration, and Sex Trafficking in Tokyo (Stanford University Press, 2011).
