Slobodan Karamanić

Slobodan Karamanić is currently completing his doctoral thesis at the Ljubljana Graduate School of the Humanities. He also studied and worked at universities in Belgrade, Tromso, New York and Konstanz. He has recently contributed to the project Europeanisation of Citizenship in the Successor States of the Former Yugoslavia (CITSEE) at the University of Edinburgh.

Truth and Reconciliation: a new political subjectivity for post-Yugoslavs?

'Truth and Reconciliation' is a paradigm entrapped within the limits of the existing state’s institutional framework, depending on the ‘good will’ of political elites, its truths depoliticised and medicalised. This bars the creation of a newly liberated citizen.
