Our Beeb - Book Launch and Drinks Reception

Limited space is available for an evening with some of the country's top experts and influential thinkers on the BBC.

Limited places are available for a launch, panel discussion and drinks reception for the newly-published, Rethinking the BBC: Public Media in the 21st Century, which is a collection of some of the best work published by openDemocracy's project ourBeeb over the last few years.

Featuring panellists Owen Jones, Fiona Chesterson, and Des Freedman, the event will ask how a vast establishment media institution like the BBC can respond to recent political events; what is its role and future in this dramatically changing world?
Rethinking the BBC brings together contributions from the political activists and theorists, including Mariana Mazzucato, Anthony Barnett, Michael Gardiner, and Aaron Bastani; cultural figures including Brian Eno, Philip Pullman and Ian McEwan; and broadcasters and journalists including George Monbiot, Sarah O’Connell, Meirion Jones and Lis Howell.

When: 29 November 2016, 6.30pm

Where: 71A Leonard St, London EC2A 4QS UK

Places for this event are very limited. RSVP to eleanor.ohagan@opendemocracy.net to secure yours.
