Simanti Dasgupta
Simanti Dasgupta is associate professor of anthropology at the University of Dayton. She is currently working on a book based upon ethnographic research conducted since 2010 with sex workers in Sonagachhi, the iconic red light district in Kolkata. She is the author of “’Sovereign Silence’ Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act and Legalizing Sex Work in Sonagachhi”.
