Carlos Afonso Nobre is a Brazilian Earth System Scientist with a PhD in Meteorology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is full professor at the Institute for Advanced Studies, University of São Paulo, creator of the Amazonia 4.0 Initiative and co-chair of the Science Panel for the Amazon
