Marcela Turati

Marcela Turati is an award winning human rights journalist who has reported about disappeared people in Mexico since 2000. She is the co-founder of Quinto Elemento Lab and coordinator of the investigative project ‘A dónde van los desaparecidos’. She has received the Louis M. Lyons Award for Conscience and Integrity in Journalism, the Media Award of the Latin American Studies Association, the Human Rights Award of the Washington Office on Latin America, the Gabo Excellence Award and the German prize Walter Reuters, among others.
