Najm aldain Qasem

I am a freelance investigative journalist and journalism student at Sana'a University and the American University of Beirut "AUB",

I work as a collaborating journalist with the Arij Network for Investigative Journalism and the Investigation Department of Al-Araby Al-Jadeed newspaper and Nawa Media newsroom in Yemen.

Also, I am currently working as a member of the editorial board of the Yemeni Network for Investigative Journalism "Yemen".

I started working in journalism in 2019 through local Yemeni news websites. I started working in the editorial room of the local newspaper, Raimh Post, since January 2019 until September 2020.

I started working in investigative journalism since the beginning of 2020, and I received several training courses with ARIJ Network, Bellingcat Network and Yemeni Archive.

I worked on several press reports and investigations in cooperation with khuyut and Daraj Media.

I am currently working on 3 investigative investigations on human rights, corruption and antiquities smuggling, and I have experience using verification tools, information review and open source investigations.
