This week's blogs of the week suggestion comes from openDemocracy contributor Clive Bates:

I find Jan Pronk's blog from Sudan pretty captivating... it's very unusual to see informal candour, mixing despair and optimism, from UN top brass (he heads the UN mission in Sudan) and it is already getting him into trouble, but it's worth it.

The Becker-Posner blog is very stimulating, covering a wide range of issues from the perspective of the ultra-grandee economist (check the CVs of these two) and is always insightful and challenging...  like Freakonomics for grown-ups.

Obviously, my own mouthpiece must be the UK's most pitifully obsessive policy wonk blog!
