Our PFI Report on the hidden billions

A reminder as the debate over PFIs begins that there is an OK report on their scale and costs.

Published:

In today's Guardian, George Monbiot returns to an issue on which he and Richard Brooks at Prive Eye were once lone voices in the wilderness: PFIs. But now, over on Platform at Conservative Home, there is a stunning cry of pain by Tory MP Mark Field on the accumulated liabilities of the PFI regime, their "huge markups" and how they have been ignored. He does not go as far as Monbiot in calling for the agreements to be torn up. Yet. And neither of them refer or link to Oliver Huitsons OurKingdom dossier PFI: The Hidden Billions. This special background report is here (opens as pdf) and his important post demanding transparency in PFIs is here.
