Putting the news back together again has to happen piece by piece, and when openDemocracy and Demotix agreed today on a broad-ranging partnership, two pieces that fit together came together.
Turi Munthe, founder and CEO of Demotix (and interviewed here on oD) writes that: "this partnership with OpenDemocracy feels like perfect synergy. I think that's right---Demotix' citizen journalist collective and openDemocracy's open-source analysis and commentary bring new media and new models into a mixture of text and picture that is not just a replacement, but better than what came before.
