João Carlos Jarochinski Silva is Professor at the Post-graduate Program in “Sociedade e Fronteiras” (Society and borders) of Universidade Federal de Roraima (UFRR), with a post-doctorate by the Núcleo de Estudos de População ‘Elza Berquó’ (NEPO/Unicamp). Research Fellow at the Center for Latin American & Latino Studies at American University.
