Jon Bright (London, OK): It's pretty clear Labour are facing meltdown in the local council polls - it looks like they may even have been beaten into third place (in terms of vote share on the night), by a Liberal Democrat team which has also slid back slightly. The Beeb are saying it's Labour's worst results since the 60s, and Political Betting thinks that Harman may have conceded the mayor race. The Tories have made gains in Labour strongholds in the North West and Southampton. How bad is it for Gordon?
