It’s difficult to know where to start with Anthony Barnett’s attack on me on openDemocracy. Let me take it point by point.
To take the beginning of a series of sneers. I have no idea what he means by “passes himself off as Melvyn on the Today Programme and BBC Radio 4.” I do no such thing. For broadcasting and writing I use Melvyn Bragg. He also writes in such a way that seems to imply that the Today programme is not on Radio 4. Which is just odd.
