Thank you - all the MigrantVoice authors and bloggers for writing at short notice with passion and point. In a week we have moved beyond the shy introductions stage to 'pleased to meet you' and opened up a conversation on some of the big issues which has provided much food for thought. This excellent introduction will remain open not only for newcomers to browse, but for comment and addition.
In the blog, we have heard from many new authors and are continuing to publish their entries this week. And we are happy to keep posting. But this is just a beginning. The next time we make a concerted effort to bring MigrantVoice to more readers' attention, I hope we can have many more podcasts to add to our World Refugee Day pod, more comments and more photos. In terms of subject matter - personally, I hope to return to the right to work which many people told us was the one advance which would make the most important difference. And I would like to look at all the educational implications and opportunities of a world in which asylum seekers and immigrants, for the foreseeable future, are here to stay. This should include a practical dimension of education in how to use new media.
But first and foremost, I look forward to new conversations with wonderful people. Thank you for your company in Refugee Week 2008 and good luck.
