At least ten Latin American countries are advancing initiatives that could fuel further violence against trans and gender-diverse people.

Proposals include banning inclusive language and gender perspectives from classrooms, giving parents the power to veto sex education, persecuting teachers who discuss sexuality with their students, and further pushing LGBTIQ people to the fringes of society.
