You might to hear about the new openDemocracy FlickR group, which we will use to pick pictures for our frontpage. This is a chance for oD readers to have their own pictures used on our site - and be credited for their effort. [more...]

What is the openDemocracy FlickR group?

The FlickR oD group is a collection of images of places, people, protests, objects, posters and events— shot by you. If we like your photo, we may feature it on our blogs or on our frontpage. We will only use images placed under a Creative Commons licence, or where we can obtain the photographers permission, and we'll always credit you on our site.

Please include your name with each photo so we can give you credit. As you might have guessed already, any sexually explicit or copyrighted images will be removed.

How does it work?

Easy:

1. Log in your flickR account

2. Join the group: http://www.flickr.com/groups/opendemocracygroup/

3. Upload your photos to your FlickR account

4. Add photos to the group by clicking "Send to Group" on the Flickr page of the photo you want to add.

5. Done!
