Guardian overtakes Telegraph on MPs expenses

Congratulations to the Guardian for launching an urgent debate on a New Politics over at Comment is Free. The Telegraph did all the initial running on MPs expenses but the paper now appears to have misjudged the public mood and the appetite for far-reaching reform believing that the solution to the democratic crisis is a general election which elects David Cameron. An election may be necessary but there'll be no fundamental change without a radical overhaul of the democratic system.
