Alejandro García Magos es profesor de ciencia política en la Universidad de Toronto en donde obtuvo un doctorado. Es maestro en ciencia política por la Universidad de Calgary, y licenciado en economía por la Universidad Iberoamericana, Ciudad de México. Su línea de investigación versa sobre democracia y autoritarismo, con un enfoque regional en los países de habla hispana. Sus trabajos has sido publicados en la Oxford Research Encyclopedia of Latin American History, y en el Latin American Research Centre de la Universidad de Calgary. Alejandro García Magos is Lecturer of Political Science at the University of Toronto where he obtained his PhD. He received an MA in Political Science from the University of Calgary, and a BA in Economics from the Universidad Iberoamericana, Mexico City. His research interests are in democracy and authoritarianism, with a regional focus on the Spanish-speaking world. His works in this area have appeared in the Oxford Research Encyclopedia of Latin American History, and the Latin American Research Centre at the University of Calgary. He contributes his opinions regularly to Global Brief Magazine, where he is Senior Editor.
